SUNY Learning Commons: A central resource for collaboration
The SUNY Learning Commons (SLC) is an online portal for virtual communication and collaboration of SUNY faculty and staff throughout the system. SLC’s vision is to provide access to the SUNY community for scholarly and instructional resources, as well as a wide range of learning opportunities. It allows us to leverage campus-based innovative teaching and learning practices by promoting and sustaining SUNY groups with common interests across curricula and support services, called “Communities of Practice.”Join the SUNY Learning Commons (SLC) Project Team as they provide an update of the SLC Pilot, its growth and development. Learn about how groups are using the commons and how the Project Team has incorporated user feedback into the next phase of development. The team will discuss functionality, system upgrades, and its transition to the new cBox environment. Plans for a large-scale full-implementation will be discussed.
