SUNY Council of CIOs (CCIO)
The State University of New York (SUNY) Council of Chief Information Officers (CCIO) proactively plans and provides recommendations for strategically important information technology issues and concerns to the campuses, SUNY System Administration, SUNY Research foundation, and SUNY Construction Fund.
The Council will provide a dynamic exchange of ideas and information in support of the following goals:
Participate in strategic planning for present and future SUNY system initiatives;
Identify and apprise senior management on the campuses and SUNY System Administration of emerging issues and trends in information technology;
Propose strategic solutions to key issues based on best practices, benchmarks and shared experiences;
Promote and lead coordinated information technology initiatives within the SUNY System;
Articulate SUNY campuses’ information technology concerns to SUNY System Administration; and
Cooperate with and coordinate activities and initiatives with relevant organizations and officers within the SUNY system.
